Bio Catering Press: JR’s Barbeque was founded in 1998 in Culver City by Jeanie Jackson and son, Bobby Johnson. With a combined restaurant experience of 52 years, we decided to bring our brand of Memphis style barbeque to our home in Los Angeles. Now our passion for delivering the best food possible is available for all of L.A. to enjoy.
Our food is homemade and prepared with no MSG or other preservatives. The magic begins with the wood we choose to slow cook our meat: mesquite, white oak, and pecan. We use our custom blend dry rub to enhance the meat flavor. Slow cooking and quality are our secrets to food that soothe and satisfy the palate. Every mouthful is as TENDER AS MOTHER’S LOVE and that’s the reason to pay us a visit. We are close to one of the greatest sources of celebrities in the world and they like to eat well too!
